Goodwill of Southern Nevada Partners with V School

Program designed to benefit military spouses and transitioning veterans

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Mar. 28, 2022) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) is partnering with tech education provider V School to offer the Operation: Achieve Scholarship, a program offering local members of the armed forces, veterans, military spouses, and dependents 100% funding of an online education in web development or UX/UI design.

Veterans and military spouses face unique challenges adjusting to the civilian workforce. Through their ongoing programs, Goodwill and V School offer the skills they need to pursue meaningful careers that provide paths to financial stability.

Following initial enrollment, Goodwill ensures interested parties meet eligibility requirements. Concurrently, V School initiates qualification assessments to assess prospective students’ preparedness for the coursework.

Upon completion of the program, V School works with major employers to place graduates into tech jobs as soon as possible, with an average starting salary of $72,000 and the potential for earning six figures within three years.

V School offers a responsive learning model that is skills-based, not time-based, so students learn at the speed their skills and schedules allow.

The Operation: Achieve Scholarship is available in Southern Nevada through the national Operation: Achieve program, which is funded by USAA and administered by Goodwill Industries.

Applications are open through April 8, 2022. To apply or learn more about the Operation: Achieve Scholarship, visit this page.
