Goodwill Paves the Way for CNA Graduates

Four candidates supported by Goodwill Career Services progressed toward Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by completing coursework at Shiloh CNA School. Their next step: employment by regional health care providers, whose demand for new healthcare professionals is ever growing.
 

Dino Sprengert Fellowship Program Celebrates Graduates
 
In late October, Goodwill held the inaugural graduation ceremony for our Dino Sprengert Rockstar Fellowship Program. The internal leadership development program is named for our late district director, who had a talent for finding and nurturing talent at the two Goodwill organizations he served over two decades. Over the course of eight months, eleven team members—three of whom were promoted—convened for monthly half-day learning sessions.
 

Goodwill empowered Jasmine to transform her life.

A mother of three, Jasmine was struggling with depression and living paycheck to paycheck. Determined to establish a stable career, research led her to Goodwill’s Medical Assistant Training Program. After only 90 days of training, she was able to provide for her family as an employee of a leading health provider, with plans to become a clinical social worker supporting women like herself. Junior League Volunteers Make a Difference Together
 
Junior League of Las Vegas gathered 55 members for a volunteer experience at the Goodwill Boulevard Mall Store. The volunteers helped organize clothing and housewares alongside our team members prior to a committee meeting in our Training Room. Southwest Area Goodwills: For a second year, Goodwill of Southern Nevada hosted counterparts from Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and El Paso to discuss challenges and share successful practices.
