Leading nonprofit promotes Morgan Waldron to director of marketing and communications

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (July 18, 2022) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) is pleased to announce the promotion of Morgan Waldron to director of marketing and communications. Waldron began her career with Goodwill in 2017 as a retail advertising direct response manager. In her new role as director of marketing and communications, Waldron will oversee all grand opening marketing, manage all media buying, public relations, store signage, and communications supporting Goodwill’s retail operations and workforce development services.

“Goodwill is pleased to recognize Morgan Waldron’s dedication to Goodwill and expertise in a broad range of marketing and communications disciplines,” said Bryan Stewart, vice president of marketing and communications at Goodwill. “Morgan has made valuable contributions to Goodwill’s success in Southern Nevada. Her mastery of digital media and public relations are essential, and her collaborations with Meow Wolf, Area15, Junior League Las Vegas, and various nonprofits have paved the way for other enduring partnerships going forward. We are pleased to announce her promotion and excited to have her serve in this new leadership capacity.”

Waldron has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). During her senior year she served as president of UNLV’s collegiate chapter at the American Marketing Association and led her to chapter to win second place in the annual collegiate competition. Waldron launched her career in gaming manufacturing and quickly found the manufacturing industry in a recession. In her senior year at UNLV, she joined local PR firm Langdon Flynn Communications as an intern social media specialist. Within a year, she was overseeing digital marketing for over thirty clients in the entertainment and hospitality industry. Waldron gained valuable experience working on accounts like the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Venetian Hotel, Top Rank Boxing, and a variety of local celebrities, and she quickly earned a reputation as a digital marketing expert. Prior to joining the nonprofit sector, Waldron partnered with Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, where she oversaw marketing campaigns for 120 locations and developed the award-winning Capriotti’s mobile app.

When Waldron is not working, she can usually be found spending time with family and her new puppy. Together with her fiancé and son, Waldron enjoys snowboarding in the winter and visiting the California beaches in the summer.
