Goodwill of Southern Nevada Thrift Stores to Support Las Vegas Natural History Museum in May

Care-to-Care nonprofit fundraising program invites Goodwill customers to support local causes

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 30, 2025) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s (Goodwill®) yearlong 50th anniversary celebration continues with a May fundraising campaign that will raise at least $5,000, and up to $10,000, for the Las Vegas Natural History Museum (LVNHM), a nonprofit dedicated to providing children and families with an understanding and appreciation of the natural world, the sciences, and ourselves.

The in-store fundraising effort is part of the Goodwill Care-to-Care Nonprofit Fundraising Partnerships program, which invites Goodwill thrift store customers to contribute a dollar or more at checkout to support both Goodwill training scholarships and a monthly local nonprofit organization.

“Goodwill provides educational programs and assistance that helps adults establish thriving careers,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Through our partnership with the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, we are proud to help spark the curiosity of school-age learners as they find their meaningful place in the world.”

“The Las Vegas Natural History Museum provides educational programming year-round through hands-on learning experiences, presentations and classes,” said LVNHM Executive Director Laurie Thomas. “Funds raised at Goodwill stores will support learning experiences throughout the week between late spring through summer when school is not in session.”

Goodwill thrift store customers can contribute to Goodwill and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum programs of service by donating a dollar or more during checkout.
