Goodwill of Southern Nevada Thrift Stores to Support HELP of Southern Nevada in June
Care-to-Care nonprofit fundraising program invites Goodwill customers to support local causes
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (May 28, 2025) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s (Goodwill®) yearlong 50th anniversary celebration continues with a June fundraising campaign that will raise at least $5,000, and up to $10,000, for HELP of Southern Nevada (HELP), a nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness for individuals, families and youth.
The in-store fundraising effort is part of the Goodwill Care-to-Care Nonprofit Fundraising Partnerships program, which invites Goodwill thrift store customers to contribute a dollar or more at checkout to support both Goodwill training scholarships and a monthly local nonprofit organization.
“Goodwill helps people overcome barriers to employment so they can gain employment and achieve their full potential,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Through our partnership with HELP of Southern Nevada, we are proud to help people overcome barriers to basic necessities.”
“HELP of Southern Nevada assists families and individuals throughout Southern Nevada to overcome barriers and attain self-sufficiency,” said HELP President and CEO Fuilala Riley. “Just this morning, close to 800 people woke up in a HELP of Southern Nevada program bed. The funds raised at Goodwill will support those housing programs and provide the needed direct services to create a home for our most vulnerable.”
Goodwill thrift store customers can contribute to Goodwill and HELP of Southern Nevada programs of service by donating a dollar or more during checkout
