Goodwill of Southern Nevada Spreads Mid-Year Cheer with Fifth Annual Christmas in July Shopping Spree

Mid-year shopping experience welcomed 100 children served by five local nonprofits

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (July 18, 2025) – , together with the Clark County Fire and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departments, held their fifth annual Christmas in July Shopping Spree at the Goodwill Blue Diamond Store. Kids and families served by five area nonprofits—FEAT: Families for Effective Autism Treatment, Children’s Advocacy Alliance, Hannah’s Closet, Klothes 4 Kids and Real Talk—each received a $100 Goodwill gift card for their mid-year holiday themed shopping experience.

“This event was first created to support our community during the middle of the pandemic,” said Rick Neal, president and CEO of Goodwill of Southern Nevada. “Since then, thousands of families continue to rely on Goodwill to help make ends meet. This tradition is our way of inviting our community to join us in giving a hand up to our neighbors. Just as we are bringing holiday cheer today to scores of kids and families, folks throughout the Las Vegas Valley make a difference every single day by donating to Goodwill.”

One hundred children were paired with Clark County Fire and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police first responders to serve as their shopping partners. Santa Claus arrived in a fire engine to greet children and kicked off the shopping spree.
