Goodwill of Southern Nevada Thrift Stores to Support Lighthouse Charities in November

Care-to-Care program invites Goodwill customers to support the vulnerable and displaced

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Oct. 30, 2025) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s (Goodwill®) yearlong 50th anniversary celebration continues with a November fundraising campaign that will raise at least $5,000, and up to $10,000, for Lighthouse Charities, a nonprofit dedicated to providing life sustaining services to people from war-torn countries who are seeking a new life in Las Vegas.

The in-store fundraising effort is part of the Goodwill Care-to-Care Nonprofit Fundraising Partnerships program, which invites Goodwill thrift store customers to contribute a dollar or more at checkout to support both Goodwill training scholarships and a monthly local nonprofit organization.

“Goodwill provides employment, solid footing, and career guidance to people who are facing major barriers to employment,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Through our partnership with Lighthouse Charities, we are proud to support individuals and families who seek a safe and secure future starting here in Las Vegas.”

“Lighthouse Charities serves vulnerable and displaced people who are now proud to be resilient neighbors who enrich the entire community,” said Lighthouse Charities Founder and CEO Cindy Trussell. “The funds raised at Goodwill stores will help us provide life-sustaining services and household necessities, from English classes to hygiene and cleaning products.”

Goodwill thrift store customers can contribute to Goodwill training scholarships and Lighthouse Charities by donating a dollar or more during checkout.
