STAGEHAND TRAINING

Step Into a Thriving Career in the Events Industry

Goodwill’s two-week Stagehand Training Program opens the door to careers in the events industry. Stagehands prepare stadiums, arenas, and other venues for events by:

•Loading and unloading materials from trucks

•Moving, testing, and setting up equipment

•Assembling and breaking down equipment, scenery, and support structures

•Inspecting lighting, sound, equipment, and ensuring power source connections

Stagehand Training participants are fast-tracked into employment after attending a series of learning courses, beginning with a Goodwill Thrive Career Workshop. Participants then complete two certifications—OSHA10 General Industry, and Forklift and Powered Industrial Trucks—with an OSHA authorized instructor. The training concludes with general knowledge and hands-on practice with an experienced Goodwill facilitator. The complete program and our partnership with Rhino Staging gives participants an edge in securing employment.
